Money Talks

A one dollar bill met a 20 dollar bill and said:

- Hey, where've you been? I haven't seen you around here much.

The twenty answered:

- I've been hanging out at the casinos, went on a cruise and did the rounds of the ship, back to the United States for awhile, went to a couple of baseball games, to the mall, that kind of stuff. How about you?

The one dollar bill said:

- You know, same old stuff, church, church, church.

The Big Test

An older couple had a son, who was still living with them. The parents were a little worried, as the son was still unable to decide about his future career, so they decided to do a small test.

They took a ten-dollar bill, a bible, and a bottle of whiskey, and put them on the front hall table... then they hid, pretending they were not at home.

The father's plan was:

- If our son takes the money, he will be a businessman, if he takes the bible, he will be a priest, but if he takes the bottle of whiskey, I'm afraid our son will be a drunkard.

So the parents hid in the nearby closet and waited nervously. Peeping through the keyhole they saw their son arrive. The son saw the note they had left.

Then, he took the 10-dollar bill, looked at it against the light, and slid it in his pocket.

After that, he took the bible, flicked through it, and took it.

Finally he grabbed the bottle, opened it, and took an appreciative whiff to be assured of the quality ...then he left for his room, carrying all three items.

The father slapped his forehead, and said:

- Darn, it's even worse than I could ever have imagined..

- Our son is going to be a politician!

Army Of The Lord

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside.

The Pastor said to him:

- You need to join the Army of the Lord!

My friend replied:

- I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor.

Pastor questioned:

- How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?

He whispered back:

- I'm in the secret service.

No Sex for an Eagle

A golfer is in a competitive match with a friend, who is ahead by a couple of strokes. The golfer says to himself:

- I'd give anything to sink this next putt.

A stranger walks up to him and whispers:

- Would you give up a fourth of your sex life?

The golfer thinks the man is crazy and that his answer will be meaningless. At the same time he thinks this might be a good omen, so he says, "Okay," and sinks the putt. Two holes later he mumbles to himself:

- Boy, if I could only get an eagle on this hole.

The same stranger moves to his side and says:

- Would it be worth another fourth of your sex life?

The golfer shrugs and says, "Sure." He makes an eagle. On the final hole, the golfer needs yet another eagle to win. Though he says nothing, the stranger moves to his side and says:

- Would you be willing to give up the rest of your sex life to win this match?

The golfer says, "Certainly!" He makes the eagle.

As the golfer walks to the club house, the stranger walks alongside and says:

- You know, I've really not been fair with you because you don't know who I am. I'm the devil, and from now on you will have no sex life.

- Nice to meet you - says the golfer.

The Union Worker

Two guys and a union worker were fishing on a lake one day, when Jesus walked across the water and joined them in the boat.

When the three astonished men had settled down enough to speak, the first guy asked humbly:

- Jesus, I've suffered from back pain ever since I took shrapnel in the Vietnam war... could you help me?

- Of course, my son - Jesus said, and when he touched the man's back, he felt relief for the first time in years.

The second man, who wore very thick glasses and had a hard time reading and driving, asked if Jesus could do anything about his eyesight.

Jesus smiled, removed the man's glasses and tossed them in the lake. When they hit the water, the man's eyes cleared and he could see everything distinctly.

When Jesus turned to the union worker, the guy put his hands up and cried defensively:

- Don't touch me! I'm on long-term disability!
